For the detail-minded, the district math runs like this: the county has operated two tax districts since March 1, 2021, and the clerk lists the south-of-the-bay district, ZIP codes 32550, 32459, and 32461, at 5%, with 3% north of the bay. Inlet Beach sits squarely in the southern district. You do not need to memorize it; you just need to see the line on the quote and know why it belongs there.

Reading two quotes like a local

The practical exercise: get the same week quoted twice, once from a platform checkout and once direct from the owner or local manager. Compare bottom lines, not nightly rates, because the bottom line is where the platform's service fee lives and where the direct quote usually wins. Confirm what each includes: linens, departure clean, pool heat if the season needs it. Then weigh the tiebreakers that never show up in a number, like a person who answers the phone and knows which bedroom hears the road.

One more east-end honesty: the reason this town's numbers tend to land gentler than the design towns west of it is not a secret sale. It is structural.
