The morning
Start at the breakfast bench, sit-down at Big Bad Breakfast or the box from The Donut Hole, then let the boardwalk carry the crew over the dunes at the regional access: lifeguards in peak season, restrooms, accessible parking, and the reef 250 to 300 feet out for the strong swimmers on kind-flag days. The afternoon, on the second water
When the sand fills, the east end changes water instead of fighting for towel space. Camp Helen State Park holds the town's east border: 180 day-use acres wrapping the shoreline of Lake Powell, Florida's largest coastal dune lake at roughly 800 acres, with hiking, swimming, beachcombing, and fishing in both fresh and salt water, plus a restored historic building from the property's decades as a textile mill's company retreat.
